“Slate gray is my favorite color,” he said. “I probably have 15 gray short-sleeve V-neck T-shirts in my house. Every time I go to buy clothes, I seem to end up with two more. I’ve got dark gray, darker gray, light gray, lighter gray, [and] darker blue-gray.”
Before he landed the role of Barney Stinson, Harris went through what he describes as an “Abercrombie & Fitch stage.” But, for the last five years, he says he’s been making a conscious effort to hew to a more classic, timeless look, favoring gray suits and thinnish neckties not unlike his small-screen counterpart.

A while back, I saw this interview and naturally, I laughed this off as an exaggeration. Come now, who would wear so much of one color?
But then the 2010 Emmy’s came around. And Mr. Neil Patrick Harris showed up in a suit. A gray suit. This caught my attention.
Soon after I began paying attention to Mr. Harris’ personal wardrobe. Razzi photos, event photos, and I realized that he was not joking, oh not at all. That boy wears gray ALL THE TIME. *glass shatters*
I bet you’ve never noticed. I bet you think I’m crazy. Well go ahead and take a look at my GRAY tag and you will see. Oh, you will see.
