parinaz1991 asked: Hi there, first of all I'm also a Green Day fan. then, you said you are a film student, that's cool I study Architecture but I adore theater and film so much that I wish I have started learning about these two in univ. what's ur opinion about European Cinema? like Italy and french? I'm a big fan of Antonioni and Godard films :0)

Well, off the bat I can tell you that Life Is Beautiful aka “La Vita E Bella” is one of my favorite movies ever. Just…kill me now. My emotions for that movie.

This semster we were shown another Italian movie called I Am Love or “Io Sono L’amore” which had Tilda Swinton in it speaking Italian the whole time. And that one was interesting. The ending was…odd.

From Godard we watched Vivre Sa Vie in class and I think the feelings were mixed within the class. I appreciated it. I’m someone who is more attracted to the story part of a film than the visuals. I’m very character oriented. So it’s sometimes difficult for me to really get into very objective films. But I certainly appreciate the choices there. I also find it interesting how much Godard was an influence to Tarantino.

I like watching movies from countries other than mine. I hate when people complain about subtitles. For me, after a while, you forget they are speaking a language other than your own.

Also, yay Green Day fans. :)
